I had lots of issues with my legs.  My legs became heavy and I was encouraged to have surgery.  On Tuesday, August 1, 2015, I had surgery on my right leg because of clogged veins.  In that surgery, the doctor removed a large vein from my foot to my thigh.  On Friday, August 4, 2015, I had surgery on my left leg to remove a large vein.  I went for a follow-up visit to my doctor on Thursday, August 10, 2015, to see if the two surgeries I underwent were successful.

The doctor took an ultrasound and examined the test.  The doctor said that the two surgeries I experienced were not successful because he only removed the two large veins—one on the right leg and one on the left leg.  However, smaller veins also needed to be removed.  He went on to say that, “three veins on my right leg and two veins on my left leg still had to be removed, so I would have better circulation because my veins were clogged."

After the service on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, Audrey Tyrell greeted me.  I told Audrey that I was going to have surgery on my legs to fix my veins on Friday, September 18, 2015.  Audrey told me the worship was so wonderful and there was a miracle atmosphere in the church that night.  Audrey asked me to pray with her for God to heal me right then.  We prayed together and afterward Audrey decreed that the doctor will tell me that I will not need the surgery because God has healed me.

I went to my doctor on Friday, September 18, 2015, and the following happened, as I told Audrey on Sunday, September 20, 2015, (two days after I saw my doctor).  The doctor explained why I no longer needed surgery as he and the nurse examined the Ultrasound of my legs.  I was in the room with them as my doctor showed me that my blood was flowing beautifully in the three veins on my right leg and the two veins on my left leg that he previously considered removing.  So, there was no need for surgery.  That is what my doctor said.

That Sunday I joyfully skipped up to Audrey and I told her that my doctor took an Ultrasound and I received my miracle.  The doctor told me that I did not need the surgery.  Audrey and I just praised the Lord together right in the middle isle of Gateway Church.  God is so good!!!!

The nurse said, “Sometimes the veins open by themselves after surgery.”  I (Gerda) asked the nurse, “How many times has that happened before (thatveins opened by themselves after surgery)?”  The nurse replied, “NEVER!!!!!”  I (Gerda) then asked the nurse, “How long have you been working here?”  The nurse said, “Fifteen years.”

I told the doctor and nurse, “Then I received my miracle—GOD HEALED ME, just as my sister, Audrey, in our church said that I would not need surgery!!!”  I and Audrey are giving God the glory, honor and praise for He is truly a good and great God who answers prayer and has healed me.  Hallelujah!!!!

I was fine.  I was celebrating my healing. However, a week and ahalf later, whenever I sat down, I couldn't get up because my knees started locking and clicking shut.  I had to twist my leg to walk.  By October 21, 2015, the pain was so excruciating that I went to the emergency room.  The doctor put me on bed rest until October 24, 2015.  He told me to keep my legs elevated.  I did not do what the doctor said because I kept believing God to heal me. So I kept going to church, going up to the front to worship and dance, even though I did so using a cane at times, or at times wearing an ace bandage and using a strong pain cream that the doctor prescribed for me.  I did not take the doctor's strong medication for pain.  I anointed myself every night and I took communion, praying for my healing.

On November 17, 2015, I had an ultrasound at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  The doctor there told me that the disease I had,  Baker Cysts, is a chronic disease which would get worse and worse.  The treatment procedure was as follows:

The doctor told me that they will put a needle in the cyst behind my knee to drain the fluid because the cyst was filled with fluid that was from my knee.  Then the doctor said that after the draining the fluid, the next step would be to give me a shot of Prednisone in the back of my knee to soften the pain.  There will be a number of Prednisone shots that the doctor would prescribe for me to try to remedy the Baker Cyst(s) I had and any that I could get.  I decided not to take the doctor's treatment at all.  I kept believing God for my healing.

On Sunday, November 22, 2015, the altar worker, Donna Hendrickson, prayed for me and I felt better.  However, as soon as I got home, I was attacked again, but I kept standing in faith for my healing.  On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, I was prayed for by others again.  On Sunday, November 29, 2015, I was standing up in the worship time and I was crying because I was in such pain.  Michelle Chutjian came and laid hands on me and prayed for me.  I felt the peace of God and I knew I was healed and the pain left.  Then Pastor Lance spoke of how God wanted to meet the whole church by putting us in His fire and glory, and the power of God fell all over the church.  It was about that time that I was normal again.  I walked without pain from then on.  I never needed the surgery.  I no longer needed the cane, the ace bandage or anything for pain.  Now I can sit down and get up without my knees locking and without a cyst, without vein problems or circulation problems.

I was healed at first.  The devil tried to take my first healing of my veins, but God is faithful, HE RESTORED ME TO HEALTH AND WHOLENESS—the Baker cysts are gone.  So now I can dance and worship God again in the front of the church.   Finally, on Sunday, December 6, 2015, I wore shoes again after three months of not being able to wear shoes.  I danced before the Lord in my shoes today at the service.  PRAISE THE LORD! HALLELUJAH! I AM HEALED BY THE STRIPES OF JESUS!  I give God all the glory and all the honor and all the praise, for is a good God and He loves me.
